Before you buy or sell a used i7-10700K

Listing titles often blur the unlocked 125W i7-10700K with the graphics-free i7-10700KF and the locked 65W i7-10700, both of which are separate parts. This K model includes UHD 630 graphics and reaches a 5.1 GHz boost clock.

Any 400-series or 500-series LGA1200 board will run this eight-core Comet Lake chip, but CPU multiplier overclocking requires a Z490 or Z590 chipset. No cooler came in the retail box, so budget for an aftermarket heatsink.
