Before you buy or sell a used RX 7900 XTX
Sellers and buyers on the AMD reference cooler model must check hotspot temperatures under load, as an early vapour chamber fault caused some reference RX 7900 XTX cards to hit 110C junction temperatures. Partner-cooled cards were not affected by that batch issue.
This 24GB GDDR6 flagship is separate from the 20GB RX 7900 XT. With 355W board power, reference cards take two 8-pin PCIe cables, whereas most partner designs require three separate 8-pin feeds and an 800W power supply.
